New Zealand has been on my mind. The earthquake in Christchurch and other natural calamities “downunder” helped me focus on patterns I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
Maori Mokos are the face paintings and tatoos so typical when we think of the wonderful Maori people. To draw this pattern I studied pictures of their faces and incorporated the designs into this great pattern. It would look great stitched on a variety of quilts, but the ones I think of are those geometrics, or a “man” quilt.
You’ll also enjoy the other Maori patterns I’ve just finished. Look for them bundled into a set for 20% off.
