You’ll want this homey swag to go around the border of a homespun quilt. Or maybe around a Christmas quilt or just surrounding a quilt filled with it’s companion pattern “Potpourri.”
The dangling moose, bear and apples can be interchanged or left off as desired.
Remember those Bed and Breakfast stairways decorated with be-ribboned swags? Those touches of dried nature are perfect in turn of the century homes with antique quilts on the beds. I guess I can be a little old fashioned, but I like that look. I have a swag of apples hanging in my family room this summer echoed by a patriotic bunting made of brown paper and tied in place with red raffia. It looks perfect with my red, white and blue decorated dried tree. For the holidays I’ll exchange the bunting for brown paper ribbon with a music staff of Christmas music printed on it and fill up a big basket on the hearth with shiny red apples and pine cones my children gathered.
